About Super Soccer Schools Tournament™

The Super Soccer Schools Tournament™ (SSS Tournament), proudly presented by Urban Academy, is poised to become a cornerstone event in the world of school soccer, specifically targeting U/19 boys and girls. This prestigious competition aims to identify and nurture emerging talent at both the provincial and national levels, offering a unique platform that fosters growth, exposure, and healthy competition. By doing so, the SSS Tournament contributes significantly to the development of youth soccer across South Africa, setting the stage for the next generation of soccer stars.

Provincial Tournament Structure

The SSS Tournament is meticulously structured to maximize the potential of young soccer players.

Provincial Tournaments:

• Categories: U/19 Boys and U/19 Girls

• Dates: 25 - 27 April, 2025

• Participating Provinces: Eastern Cape, Western Cape (all 9 provinces to be included in 2026).

The top three teams from each provincial tournament, along with the hosting school, will advance to the Super Soccer Schools Tournament™ Nationals held at Urban Academy Private School’s Despatch Campus in the Eastern Cape during the third term. The exact dates will be confirmed before the end of 2024.

Objectives

The Super Soccer Schools Tournament™ has been established with several key objectives:

• To elevate school soccer by creating a highly competitive environment for U/19 players to showcase and hone their talents.

• To provide exposure and opportunities for young players, coaches, and schools through high-profile competitions and extensive media coverage.

• To promote community engagement and enhance online visibility for participating schools, fostering a sense of pride and recognition within the community.

Prizes for Provincials:

• U/19 Boys: R15,000 cash prize for the winning school.

• U/19 Girls: Custom-made soccer kit for the winning team.

• Medals: Awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each category.

• Player of The Tournament.

• Goalkeeper of The Tournament.

• Rising Star of The Tournament.

• 1st place Trophies.

National Tournament:

• Venue: Urban Academy Private School Despatch Campus, Eastern Cape

• Dates: 8-10 August 2025

• Participating Teams: Top 3 teams from each province + hosting school

The National Tournament will offer additional cash prizes (R20 000 for both Boys and Girls National Winners, medals for top teams, Player of The Tournament, Goalkeeper of The Tournament, and Rising Star of The Tournament.
